Your World Competition Video of Ilma International Girls’ School

For taking part in the ‘Your World Competition’ conducted by British Council and emerging as the National winners (from amongst Sri Lankan schools taking UK qualifications).

This is an annual competition that allows an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and to compete with their peers from all over the world.
The theme for this year ‘Your World 2020-21’ competition was Building a brighter future.

Students aged 14-17 worked in teams of between 3-5 members, to make a 3 minute video that highlights an issue for a defined community and suggests positive actions that people can take to bring about long term and
sustainable change for the benefit of that community.

The video had to focus on one of the following areas:

1. Sustainable living
2. Resilient communities
   and our students selected resilient communities.
