One of the most awaited events of the year- The Annual Inter-House Senior Sports Meet, for the Academic year 2017/18, was held at the Havelock Sports Grounds on the 28th of September 2017.
Madam Anoma Ratnayake (Provisional course director of National Olympic committee) graced the occasion as our esteemed chief guest.
The commitment, dedication and enthusiasm of the participating houses- Cithreen, Lulu, Marjan and Yaquooth played a paramount role in enlivening the day and making it a huge success.
Individual sportsmanship was displayed by the athletes participating in the races, while team spirit was brought to life in the relays and group events.
A highlight of the day was the drill display- dazzling the spectators with bright hues and synchronized steps, it was a sight to behold! Marjan House emerged winners while Cithreen emerged Runners Up.
The March Past, led by the Prefects Squad, headed by the School Games Captain Salma Naleem, culminated in Lulu emerging victorious while Cithreen emerged Runners Up.
The day reached its peak with the onset of the awards ceremony, in which the Championship Trophies were awarded to the winning houses, and best players of the Inter House Netball and Basketball Matches.
Championship Awards were also awarded to the athletes who shone in the track and field events of their respective age categories.
The day drew to a close with the most anticipated moment of the day- the announcing of the winning house- Cithreen House emerged the overall champions, while Lulu emerged Runners Up.
