Ilma International Girls’ School Post Primary Awards Day 2015/2016

The 20th of December 2016 marked a significant day in our school calendar, the Awards Day for the year 2015/2016. This event was held at the Bishops College Auditorium, the theme being ‘Strike a Balance’, something which is crucial in our lives. Madam Farzana Jameel, President’s Counsel, graced the occasion with her esteemed presence as Chief Guest. This day also marked the end of the tenure of our dedicated Principal, Madam Hafeeza Ghori.

The Agenda for the day consisted of speeches by the Chief Guest, Madam Farzana Jameel, Our Chairperson, Madam Husni Hussain and Our Principal, Madam Hafeeza Ghori, Annual Report by our Vice Principal, Madam Shamaleen Girsy and the launching of the Annual School Magazine. The students also got an opportunity to showcase their talents in singing on this special day apart from the school song which was sung by the Board of Prefects(2016/2017). The highlight of the day was the Awards Ceremony, where students who had excelled in their academics and co-curricular activities were awarded. In recognition for their outstanding performances at the Cambridge International Examinations, some students received the ‘Oustanding Cambridge Learner’ awards.

Students, who proved their stance and potential in academic excellence, once again stood by the school motto “Advancement in knowledge”. The stars of the evening who received  the awards for academic excellence from the intermediates were Fiza Hanif, Mahira Kitchil and Ashfa Muhrim from the seniors. Former head girl Shimra Najeebdeen received the award for leadership, dedicated service & loyalty to the school.

Those who had received excellent results at the G.C.E National and Cambridge International Examinations were presented with scholarship awards.

Staff members and the Board of Prefects for the year 2015/2016 were felicitated for their services to the school and past pupils who had completed their higher studies were felicitated for their achievements. Next on the agenda was the distribution of Special Awards after which was the Vote of Thanks, delivered by Head Prefect (2015/2016), Shimra Najeebdeen. The event ended with great joy and success, Alhamdulillah

Primary Awards Day 2015/2016

 The high achievers of the Primary Section were rewarded for their dedication and hard work on the Annual Awards day of Ilma International Girls’ School held on the 20th of December 2016 at Bishops College Auditorium. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Heba Husain. Ms. Husni Hussain Chairperson of Ilma Educational Foundation, Past and Present Members of the Board of Directors, Advisors to the Board, Manager Administration and Finance – Mr. Saabir Sawaad, Manager Human Resources – Mr. Shiana Hisham, Principal Mr. Hafeeza Ghori, Vice Principal – Mrs. Sharmaleen Girsy, Sectional Heads, Heads of invited Schools, Members of the Old Girls’ Association, Distinguished guest, Parents, Teachers, Members of the Non-Academic staff and students were among those present.
