The badging of the Junior Prefects of IIGS took place on the 3^rd of July 2019 in the school hall. Ms.Ramona Yusuf, a former Sectional Head of IIGS, graced the event with her presence as the Chief Guest. 

On this day, Luja Zainab Jameel took over the duties previously performed by the outgoing Head Prefect, Maisha Kareem. The event commenced with the speech given by Madam Principal, Aamina Zuhair. The outgoing Deputy Head Girl, Nisah Kalaf, delivered the Annual Report, after which the badging took place. The badging was followed by the oath taken by all of the prefects, to strive for the betterment and growth of the school. 

Induction into the Board of Prefects is a significant achievement that comes though hard work and perseverance in academics and being able to balance these duties with non-academic responsibilities. The achievement of the new Board of Prefects is certainly commendable, and undoubtedly inspirational to the students that follow.
