Gateway College, Colombo emerged champions in the under 20 Inter International (TISSL) netball tournament 2019 in the finals played at Sugathadasa Indoor stadium, which concluded recently.

Ilma International Girls School, who were hosting the Tournament for the 9^th successive year, remained unbeaten in their respective groups matches, qualifying them to be in the finals along with Gateway College Colombo.

In the group stage, Gateway College Colombo beat Lyceum International School, Panadura 13-1, Gateway Kandy 10-2, Royal Institute 19-1 and received a walk over from Asian International School. Ilma International Girls school beat CIS (Colombo) 10-3, The British School 15-2, Lyceum International School (Wattala) 6-5 and Burhani Serendib School 25-0.

In the semi-finals, Gateway College, Colombo beat Lyceum International School (Wattala) 13-6, while Ilma International Girls School beat Lyceum International School (Panadura) 18-6.

In the Plate finals, Gateway College (Kandy) beat CIS (Colombo) 8-4 to emerge winners.

Ameena Khalid from Ilma International Girls School was awarded the Best Shooter.
