Alhamdulilah, the year 2017/2018 has been a prosperous & splendid year for the Islam & Arabic Society. The first meeting for the year began with the appointment of the office bearers on the 12^th July 2017.

Showcasing the melodious voices of our school girls, the Inter House Qaseeda Competition was held on the 28^th of July 2017, in which Marjan House emerged victorious for the both set & choice songs. Then, the Inter- school competitions were held on the 29^th of July, in which 10 schools participated and our students emerged victorious too. Alhamdulilah!

The Inter House Islam Quiz was held on the 18^th of August 2017 in which Marjan House emerged as the Champions with Lulu House as runners up.

Finally, the most important & significant day in the calendar, was Islam & Arabic Day celebration for the year 2017/2018 which was held on the 23^rd of August 2017. Ms. Haleema Najibdeen (former principal of Naleem Hajiar Ladies College) graced the occasion as the chief guest and Madam Husni Hussain, as the guest of honour. Our theme for the day was ‘He has thought man that which he knew not’ (Surah Al-Alaq); was portrayed through a series of events. Finally, the open prize competitions were held on the 3^rd of October 2017 for the Senior & Post Senior categories. The winners of these competitions will be awarded on the Annual Awards Day 2017/2018.

On this note, our heartful gratitude goes to Ms. Maleeha Zubair and all other teachers involved and my fellow colleagues who helped in making this year a fruitful one.
