Ilma International Girls’ School’s junior team emerge 1^st runners up at the International Schools’ Scrabble Tournament 2018.

The Inter International Schools Scrabble Tournament organized by Lyceum, Wattala for the 11^th consecutive year was held on the 3^rd of February 2018.  The event saw the participation of the schools belonging to TISSL. Eleven schools, comprising of Asian International School, British School, Leeds International School, College of World Education, Colombo International School, Gateway College – Rajagiriya and Kandy, LIS – Nugegoda and Wattala, Panadura & Ilma International Girls’ School participated in this tournament. A total of 33 teams comprising of 5 players each participated in 3 age categories, Junior, Intermediate and Senior.

Ilma’s junior team comprising Ruqaiya Rumy (Captain), Jameela Rizwan, Yusra Rameez, Aysha Arafath & Naziha Nisar emerged 1^st runners up at the event.

Mr. Kandhan Mahendran, President of the Sri Lanka Scrabble Federation (SLSF) was the Chief Guest at the occasion.
